CRISIS CENTER
Datha Ray, Director
8:30 am - 12 noon

Thanks this month to the men from Oak Hill BC who picked up food that was ordered from MS Food Network and delivered it to our office.

We were happy to have the Acteens from FBC Meridian and the 3 & 4 year old Mission Friends from Highland BC come and tour the Crisis Center this month. The Mission Friends also collected toothpaste and toothbrushes for our bags.

Thanks to those churches who collected food for the month of April which included Bethany, Midway, Northcrest and Toomsuba. Those churches responsible for collecting for the month of May include Goodwater, Mt. Gilead, New Wine Ministries and Oak Hill.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have been praying for my family during my Dad’s sickness. He passed away on the 18th of April at around 6:15 in the morning. He went quietly and peacefully, which was our prayer. It is a great testimony to the peace in which we can face death as believers in Christ Jesus. We are thankful for the mercy that God showed in taking my father the way he did.

The funeral was a celebration of his life and the life that he is now living in eternity. Even in the depths of our sorrow we had reason to rejoice. My father tried to live his life based on the Word of God, and was known as a man of character and integrity. Through the funeral service we were able to share the Biblical ideals on which he based his life and the foundation he had in Christ. We have already heard of how even through the death of my father, the Lord has been working in the lives of others who need to know Him. We still covet your prayers as we begin this step of our journey.
